Seeing your own face clearly in the mirror marks an honest encounter with who you truly are. In Oriental reading a clear reflection promises self-knowledge and a sound reputation. In depth terms it is the moment the ideal self and the real self draw closer.
A stranger's face in the mirror
A strange or distorted face in the mirror signals estrangement from yourself. Tradition warns of hypocrisy around you or a false image others hold of you. Psychologically it reveals a disowned part you do not yet recognize as your own.
No reflection in the mirror
Seeing no reflection touches the fear of being overlooked or insignificant. Tradition reads the empty surface as loss of identity or an uncertain future. In depth terms the dream asks whether you have lost sight of your own self.
