2. Overview

Kahvebaktır is an entertainment service that creates an AI-assisted reading from uploaded photos of coffee grounds. We only process the data you actively submit plus technically necessary data. We use no tracking or advertising cookies, show no third-party ads in the app and use no advertising ID. If you give us your separate, explicit consent, we send you our own news, tips and offers by email or WhatsApp (direct marketing — see section 6a). This policy also applies to our Android app, which merely loads the website kahvebaktir.com in an app window (Trusted Web Activity).

3. What data we process

  • Photos of your coffee cup that you upload or take with the camera — the basis of the reading.
  • Optional details for a more precise reading: first name, number of children, marital/relationship status, writing hand.
  • Astrological deepening (only if you actively start it with consent): first name, last name, date of birth, optionally time of birth.
  • Contact details for news/marketing (voluntary, only with your consent): your email address and — if you provide it — your WhatsApp/phone number.
  • Shared readings: if you share your result via the share function, we store the reading text (without your photo) under a random link ID on our server so the link can be opened.
  • Technical data:IP address, date/time and browser details in our host's server logs. The IP address is also briefly processed in memory to prevent abuse and overload (rate limiting).

4. Purposes

Creating the coffee-ground reading and — on request — the astrological deepening, providing shared results, operating and securing the website.

5. AI processing & transfer to the USA

To create the reading we transmit the uploaded photos and your details to Anthropic PBC (Claude API). Processing may take place in the USA — a transfer to a third country without a level of data protection generally comparable to the EU. The safeguards are EU standard contractual clauses within the agreement with Anthropic as well as your explicit consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR). 6. Legal bases

  • Reading & AI transfer: your consent by actively uploading and starting the reading (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Astrological deepening: consent via the checkbox in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • News/marketing by email & WhatsApp: your separate, voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Operation, logs, abuse prevention: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future: info@pedram-dadgar.de.

6a. News & marketing (email/WhatsApp)

If you tick the separate checkbox in the form and give us an email address and/or WhatsApp number, we use them to send you news about the app, tips and offers. This consent is voluntary and independent of the reading — you can use the app fully without it.

You can object/unsubscribe free of charge at any time — by email to info@pedram-dadgar.de, via the unsubscribe link in every email, or by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp note: if we message you via WhatsApp, data (incl. your number and message content) is processed by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms; this may involve a transfer to the USA, based on your consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).

7. Recipients / processors

  • Anthropic PBC, USA — AI reading (Claude API).
  • IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany — server hosting (data centre in the EU).
  • WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms — only if you consent to WhatsApp marketing (message delivery; US transfer possible).

Fonts are served locally from our server; there is no connection to Google Fonts.

8. Retention

  • Photos: processed only to create the reading and not stored permanently by us.
  • Shared readings: until your deletion request, at most 12 months.
  • Deepening details: until withdrawal or as long as required for the purpose.
  • Server logs: short period customary at the host.

9. Local storage in the browser

So your result is preserved when you switch language, we temporarily store it locally in your browser (sessionStorage) — this data stays on your device. A service worker keeps a local cache for stability. Neither is used for tracking.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as to withdraw consent given. Contact info@pedram-dadgar.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Deletion: we delete a shared reading or other details stored about you on request to info@pedram-dadgar.de (for a shared link, please include the link ID).

11. Minors

The service is not directed at children under 16.
