Mleko dodiruje najranije iskustvo bivanja nahranjenim i predstavlja nepomućenu vezu sa majkom i odojčetovu potrebu za bezuslovnom negom. U snu može nagoveštavati regresiju ka zaštitničkoj sigurnosti ili želju za čistotom i novim početkom.
Orijentalno tumačenje
U orijentalnom tumačenju snova, mleko simbolizuje urođenu čistotu, neokaljanu veru (fitru) i obilno, blagosloveno izdržavanje; piti ga proriče znanje, bogatstvo i dug život. Ukiseljeno ili pokvareno mleko, međutim, ukazuje na pomućenu sreću ili okaljan dobitak.
