Η αράχνη στον ιστό της καθρεφτίζει συχνά την αίσθηση ότι είσαι παγιδευμένος σε έναν μπερδεμένο δεσμό ή σε μια καταπιεστική σχέση. Μπορεί επίσης να ενσαρκώνει μια αμφίθυμη μητρική μορφή που ταυτόχρονα τρέφει και περιορίζει.
Ανατολίτικη ερμηνεία
Στην ισλαμική ονειροκριτική, η αράχνη παραπέμπει σε έναν αδύναμο, ευσεβή ή αποτραβηγμένο άνθρωπο, και ενίοτε σε ένα σχέδιο υφασμένο με κόπο. Ο ιστός της προτρέπει σε υπομονή, καθώς ό,τι είναι λεπτοϋφασμένο μπορεί εξίσου εύκολα να σκιστεί.
Λαϊκή (ονειροκρίτης)
In the old folk almanacs the spider in a dream forewarns of a hidden scheme being woven against you, or of gossip whispered behind your back. Seen in the morning she bodes sorrow, but glimpsed at evening she promises unlooked-for luck and a coin in the purse. To crush the spider is to tear apart the snares of the envious and slip free of malicious tongues.

Spider crawling on you
A spider crawling over your own body reflects the sense that something unwanted is crossing your personal boundaries. Traditionally it warns of someone creeping in unnoticed; psychologically it signals discomfort with a person who has gotten too close, or a suppressed irritation under your skin.
