U dubinskoj psihologiji krava dotiče majčinsku, hraniteljsku prasliku: potrebu za sigurnošću, obiljem i bezuslovnom brigom. Može da odražava duboku čežnju za majčinskom toplinom, ili mirnu, plodnu stranu sopstvenog bića koja želi da podstakne rast.
Orijentalno tumačenje
U tradiciji Ibn Sirina krava je simbol godine: debele, zdrave krave obećavaju plodna, blagoslovena vremena i blagostanje, dok mršave ukazuju na oskudicu i muku. Krava koja daje mleko označava obilno izdržavanje i blagoslov za dom i porodicu.

In old folk belief the cow in a dream foretells prosperity and blessed times: a fat, milk-giving cow heralds full larders, easy living and peace within the house. To see one grazing calmly means a fruitful year, while a lean or sickly cow warns of scant days and worries to come. Should the cow chase you, a burden threatens that you do well to turn aside in good time.
