Ochii arată spre vederea lăuntrică — spre pătrundere, conștiență și felul în care cel ce visează se percepe pe sine și pe ceilalți. Vederea întunecată sau pierdută poate rosti teama de a nu voi să recunoști un adevăr ori de a închide ochii în fața a ceva.
Interpretare orientală
După tradiția orientală și islamică, ochii stau adesea pentru credință și lumina călăuzirii, precum și pentru cei mai dragi ai unui om; vederea limpede vestește bunăstare, în vreme ce orbirea poate fi citită ca rătăcire în credință sau pierderea unei ființe iubite.

Bright, shining eyes foretell loyal friends and welcome news from afar, while dim or weeping eyes were taken by the folk as a sure sign of envy, slander, and whispered gossip behind your back. To be stared at by strange eyes warns that you will soon be watched and grudged by jealous neighbours.

Going blind in a dream often means the dreamer is refusing to see a truth they already sense deep down. In the Oriental-Islamic reading, loss of sight can warn of straying from the right path or of being misled by those close to you.
