Ένα ιερό βιβλίο στο όνειρο μπορεί να συμβολίζει μια εσωτερική ανάγκη για αξιόπιστη τάξη και για μια φωνή αλήθειας που ενσαρκώνει τη συνείδησή μας. Καθρεφτίζει συχνά την αναζήτηση νοήματος και ενός σταθερού μέτρου με το οποίο η ψυχή σταθμίζει τις αμφιβολίες και τις επιθυμίες της.
Ανατολίτικη ερμηνεία
Στην ανατολίτικη-ισλαμική παράδοση, το να βλέπει κανείς ένα ιερό βιβλίο, ιδίως το Κοράνι, θεωρείται ένα από τα πιο ευλογημένα σημάδια καθοδήγησης, γνώσης και μιας μακράς, ευλογημένης ζωής. Σύμφωνα με τον Ιμπν Σιρίν, σε όποιον το διαβάζει ή το κρατά στο όνειρο υπόσχονται τιμή, προστασία και τη λύση των υποθέσεών του μέσω της αλήθειας.
Λαϊκή (ονειροκρίτης)
In the old folk dream-book, a holy book promises an important message or a promise that will be kept: he who reads in it shall have a secret unveiled or sound counsel that steers his road. An open book heralds honor and the trust of respected folk; a closed one bids you bide a while before speaking a truth. Should the book fall to the ground, the old saying warns of a word that will be broken.

Hearing the Quran recited
Hearing the Quran recited in a dream, or reciting it yourself, is a promise of comfort, peace of heart, and the settling of strife or worry. The voice you hear stands for a calming inner certainty that rises above the noise of doubt and brings order to the soul.
