Pedram Dadgar

Founder & editor of Kahvebaktır

Who curates the readings on Kahvebaktır — and in what spirit. An open word about background, method and responsibility.

Who I am

I am Pedram Dadgar, founder and editor of Kahvebaktır. Raised between the cultures of the Middle East and Europe, I have been accompanied since childhood by the reading arts — my grandmother's coffee-ground reading, dream interpretation, palmistry and the verses of Hafez. Kahvebaktır is my attempt to preserve that heritage carefully, multilingually and with respect.

What I do (not) claim

I am no clairvoyant and claim no supernatural powers. My work is that of a curator and editor: I gather handed-down meanings from several traditions, compare sources, and render them carefully in five languages. The readings are meant as a mirror for self-reflection and as cultural entertainment — not as a prediction of the future.

How we work

Every meaning in our lexicon is editorially maintained and written natively in five languages. Where an AI (Claude) reads a photo or a dream, it links visible signs to the meanings in our lexicon and composes a text from them — it invents no truth. Exactly how that happens, what we draw on, and where the limits lie, I lay open on the methodology page.
