În psihologia profunzimilor, copacul este o emblemă a sinelui aflat în creștere, cu rădăcini în originile sale și cu o coroană care se înalță spre maturitate. Starea lui poate oglindi propriul simțământ al vieții: înfloritor și puternic ori veștejit și istovit.
Interpretare orientală
În interpretarea oriental-islamică, un copac verde și roditor înseamnă un om bun, urmași, viață lungă sau prosperitate, după felul și roadele sale. Un copac veștejit ori doborât poate vesti declin, boală sau sfârșitul unei pricini.
Populară (carte de vise)
In the old folk dream-book, a green, full-leaved tree is a sign of long life, settled prosperity, and good fortune that strikes deep roots in the family. Bearing fruit or blossom, it foretells the blessing of children, a marriage, or a rich harvest. But to see it felled, bare, or struck by lightning, the folk belief warns of the death of a kinsman or of grievous loss within the house.

Climbing a tree traditionally points to advancement, higher rank, or drawing closer to an influential person, where a safe ascent promises success and a fall foretells a setback. Psychologically you are reaching upward, seeking overview and recognition. The dream's question is whether the branch you lean on will truly hold you.
