Un cutremur în vis zguduie chiar pământul pe care eul crede că stă, dând la iveală o teamă reprimată de a-ți pierde sprijinul și rânduiala. Poate semnala presiunea unor porniri ori conflicte îndelung adunate, care acum își croiesc cu sila drum spre suprafață.
Interpretare orientală
În tâlcuirea lui Ibn Sirin, un cutremur arată adesea spre o năpastă, o teamă sau o pedeapsă ce se abate asupra unei țări ori a locuitorilor ei. Mărginit la un singur loc, poate însemna tulburare, o schimbare de cârmuire sau un eveniment hotărâtor pentru cei ce sălășluiesc acolo.
