Urcatul scărilor

Psihologic (Freud)

By old folk belief, climbing stairs in a dream foretells a rising in life as well: step by step fate leads you upward toward esteem, plenty and better days. The higher you reach in the dream, the old books say, the richer the blessing that beckons. But should you stumble on a step or tumble back down, the dream warns of a setback and counsels you to keep both feet on solid ground.

Scenarii frecvente de vis

Climbing stairs upward

Climbing a staircase with ease is a favorable image of both inner and outer ascent: growing standing, ambition, and the reach toward a higher rung. Psychologically it shows self-confidence and a clear forward drive. Traditionally it promises a rise in rank and the reaching of a longed-for goal.

Going down the stairs

Descending the stairs turns the image around: it can mean a retreat, the letting go of a position, or a descent into deeper, unconscious layers of the soul. Not necessarily negative — sometimes you must go down to recover what was repressed. Traditionally it warns of caution against a loss of standing or influence.

Never-ending staircase

A staircase that never ends mirrors the feeling of toiling without ever arriving — a goal that keeps receding. Psychologically it points to unfulfillable perfectionism or exhausting striving. Traditionally it urges you to reconsider the true measure of success rather than torment yourself ever upward.

Stairs collapsing / missing steps

Crumbling steps or a collapsing staircase betray uncertainty about the foundation of your own ascent — the fear that the hard-won path won't hold. It mirrors a lack of trust in the stability of plans or relationships. Traditionally it warns you to test the foundation before striving higher.
