Sahrana u snu retko ukazuje na stvarnu smrt; pre odražava želju da se jedno poglavlje, stara uloga ili vezanost položi na počinak. Može izneti na površinu sahranjenu tugu, dopuštajući nesvesnom da konačno upotpuni unutrašnji oproštaj.
Orijentalno tumačenje
U orijentalno-islamskom tumačenju, sahrana često nagoveštava pokajanje, novi početak ili oslobođenje od teškog tereta. Neki tumači je čitaju kao znak da će tuga uskoro biti pokopana i zamenjena mirom.

Traditionally, attending points to setting down a burden and entering a calmer chapter.

Burying someone who has already died usually points to unfinished grief or an old attachment that still echoes within you. The psyche revisits what was never fully released in waking life. It is an invitation to finally grant inner peace and rest to the departed, or to what they represented.
