Τα αστέρια ενσαρκώνουν συχνά μακρινούς, εξιδανικευμένους στόχους και λαχτάρες που αιωρούνται ψηλά πάνω από την καθημερινότητα του εγώ και φαντάζουν μετά βίας προσιτά. Μπορεί να παραπέμπουν σε υψηλά ιδανικά, εξιδανικευμένα πρότυπα ή στην επιθυμία να βρεις προσανατολισμό και ελπίδα μέσα στο σκοτάδι.
Ανατολίτικη ερμηνεία
Στην παράδοση του Ιμπν Σιρίν, τα αστέρια μπορεί να εκπροσωπούν αξιοσέβαστους ανθρώπους, λογίους ή τους επιφανείς μιας κοινότητας· λαμπερά, σταθερά φωτεινά αστέρια προμηνύουν καθοδήγηση, τιμή και καλή ηγεσία. Αντίθετα, αστέρια που πέφτουν ή σβήνουν ερμηνεύονται ως απώλεια σημαντικών προσώπων ή ως παρακμή αξιώματος.
Λαϊκή (ονειροκρίτης)
In the old folk dream-books, stars are seen as bright omens of fortune: when they twinkle clear and steady, they foretell a turn for the better, a coming betrothal, or wishes soon to be granted. A falling star, says the country lore, marks a soul newly born or one about to depart, while a sky thick with stars above the house promises children and a full harvest. Should they fade behind cloud or mist, the old omen counsels patience, for the luck you await is not yet ripe.

A shooting star marks a fleeting moment of grace: a wish that feels suddenly within reach yet burns out fast. Traditionally it points to a swift, fortunate turn or a granted plea; psychologically it reveals a longing you finally dare to name.

A single, brightly shining star stands in Ibn Sirin's tradition for an esteemed person or scholar who gives you direction. It heralds renown, clarity, and a figure who shines as a model for you; inwardly it embodies your own radiance, still half-hidden.
Stars falling from the sky
When many stars plunge from the sky at once, the dream warns of the fall of dignitaries or the loss of revered people and values. Classically an image of communal upheaval; psychologically the collapse of old ideals you long steered by.
Reaching for or grabbing stars
Reaching for the stars and catching them promises uncommon ascent, honor, or ties to powerful, high-standing people. Traditionally a sign of extraordinary fortune; psychologically your courage to stretch for the seemingly unreachable and believe yourself worthy of it.
