Η επίμονη αναζήτηση στο όνειρο παραπέμπει συχνά σε μια ανικανοποίητη ανάγκη που ο συνειδητός νους δεν μπορεί ακόμη να ονοματίσει, είτε λαχτάρα για αγάπη, για ασφάλεια, είτε για ένα χαμένο κομμάτι του εαυτού. Στην ανατολίτικη παράδοση, η αναζήτηση προμηνύει μια ειλικρινή προσπάθεια που, αν επιδιωχθεί με υπομονή, φτάνει στον στόχο της· το να βρεις αυτό που ζητούσες υπόσχεται την εκπλήρωση της επιθυμίας και την απόκτηση καλού. Searching for a lost object, such as keys, money or documents, points to a feeling of having lost sight of something important, be it security, control or one's own identity. Traditionally it cautions toward care with what is entrusted to one. The dream asks what, in waking life, wishes to be found again.
Searching through a house
Searching a house room by room mirrors an inner self-exploration, for the house often stands for one's own soul. Locked or unfamiliar rooms point to repressed parts pressing toward the light. The dream invites exploring with curiosity rather than fear what has so far remained hidden.
